- PostHog (hosted in the EU) for page views, click tracking, and session recordings.
- Google Analytics for page view statistics with anonymised IP addresses.
These tools use your browser's local storage rather than traditional cookies. We do not collect your IP address through PostHog.
5. Session Recording
We may record browsing sessions to help us identify usability issues and improve your experience on our website.
What is captured:
- Page navigation, clicks, scrolls, and viewport changes.
What is not captured:
- Form input values (all text fields are masked).
- Passwords, payment details, and sensitive personal data.
- Admin and staff sessions (these are excluded entirely).
6. Third-Party Data Processors
We use the following third-party services to operate our website:
- PostHog (EU) for analytics and session recording.
- Google Analytics for page view analytics.
- Cloudinary for image hosting.
- Google reCAPTCHA for spam and bot protection on our forms.
- Yoco for secure payment processing.
- Our email provider for sending booking and account notifications.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for the following periods:
- Analytics data: 12 months.
- Session recordings: 30 days.
- Account data: for the duration of your account, plus 12 months after deletion.
- Booking and payment records: retained for 5 years to meet our South African Revenue Service (SARS) tax-record obligations, even after you request erasure. When you erase your account we anonymise your personal identifiers on these records while keeping the financial figures required by law.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We store data securely and limit access to authorised personnel only.
