What to Bring
Preparing for your pet's stay at Bonnievale Kennels
A little preparation goes a long way. Here's everything you need to pack for your pet's stay. We provide clean kennels, fresh water, and round-the-clock care. You bring the personal touches that help your pet feel at home.
Essential Checklist
Your Pet's Food
We provide quality food for all boarding pets, included in your rate. If your pet has a specific diet or you'd prefer them to stay on their usual food, you're welcome to bring your own. Please label it clearly with feeding instructions.
Medication
If your pet requires medication, please bring it in its original packaging with clear dosage instructions. Our staff can administer oral and topical medications at no extra charge.
Vaccination Card
Proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required at check-in. Dogs need 5-in-1, Rabies, and Kennel Cough. Cats need FVRCP and Rabies. See our full vaccination requirements.
Bedding & Blankets
A familiar blanket or bed from home can help your pet settle in. We provide bedding, but something that smells like home makes a real difference, especially for anxious pets.
Comfort Items
Your pet's favourite toy or chew can provide comfort and familiarity. Please label all items with your pet's name so we can keep track.
Dog Collar
All dogs must wear a secure, well-fitting collar during their stay. This helps our staff safely handle and walk your dog with a leash. Name tags are recommended but not required.
Please Do Not Bring
- Expensive or irreplaceable items
- Glass or breakable bowls
- Rawhide chews or items that pose a choking risk
- Loose or damaged collars
Food Policy
We provide food for all boarding pets as part of our standard rate. This helps keep feeding time consistent and simple. If your pet has a sensitive stomach, special diet, or you'd prefer them to eat their usual food, you're welcome to bring it along.
Pre-portioned meals in labelled bags or containers are ideal if you do bring your own.
