Vaccination Requirements

Keeping all pets safe is our top priority

At Bonnievale Kennels, the health and safety of every pet in our care is non-negotiable. We require all dogs and cats to be fully vaccinated before boarding. This protects your pet, other boarders, and our staff.

Please ensure vaccinations are administered at least 10 days before your pet's stay to allow full immunity to develop. Proof of vaccination must be provided at check-in.

Important Timing

At Least 10 Days Before

All vaccinations must be administered at least 10 days before your pet's boarding date. This ensures full immunity has developed.

Bring Proof at Check-In

Please bring your pet's vaccination card or a certificate from your vet. We need to verify all vaccinations are current.

No Exceptions

For the safety of all pets in our care, we cannot accept boarders without up-to-date vaccinations. Please plan accordingly.

Common Questions

Where can I get my pet vaccinated?

Any registered veterinarian in South Africa can administer the required vaccinations. If you need a recommendation, contact us and we can suggest vets in the Bonnievale, Robertson, or Swellendam area.

What if my pet's vaccinations have lapsed?

If your pet's vaccinations are not current, please visit your vet before your boarding date. A booster may be sufficient. Your vet will advise. Remember, vaccinations need at least 10 days to take effect.

Do puppies and kittens have different requirements?

Puppies and kittens must have completed their initial vaccination series. Your vet can confirm when your young pet is fully covered. We recommend discussing boarding timing with your vet if your pet is still in their vaccination schedule.
